Important Note to Radio Amundsen:
The functionality as described below is working only on radios with a firmware level of at least SW0351. This level was installed on new cars from about mid of 2010. We can update your radio to the required level. To do so, you need to send it to us. A local VW dealer normally can´t do this service.

With radio Amundsen-Plus the firmware level is not important, it works with all versions.

To find out the installed firmware level of the radio hold the Setup button for 5 seconds.

If your radio does not has the required firmware level use FISCON Basic.

Description of Functionality

With a FISCON Plus Bluetooth handsfree, for Skoda your vehicle allows for these functions:

Vehicle Integration
	Operation from the Touchscreen of the Navigations System.
	Complete integration into the Navigation System with comparable Logic and Design.
	Displays Data on the MaxiDot-Screen.
	Menu-driven operation
	Establish, accept and end calls. Mute, regulate volume and numerous setup functions. Everything is operable with the existing buttons of the vehicle
	Voice output through the vehicle speakers. With distinguished sound quality, no installation of additional speakers is necessary.
	Uses the amplifier of the car for speech and music. OEM soundsystems are supported.
	Operation via the buttons on the multifunction steering wheel (where available).
	Usage of the ring-tone of the cellphone*1 on the vehicle speakers.
	All original functions of the vehicle remain unaffected.
	Optional microphone available, exactly matching to the OEM position in the dome light of many cars. Enables completely invisible installation.
	Uses the full size if the MaxiDot screen. The small MaxiDot (more wide than high) is not able to display the data.

Phone Functions
	Synchronisation of the phonebook with names and numbers.*1
	Access to call lists, including dialed, accepted and missed connections.*1

	Alphabetic search of phonebook records.
	Display of the phone provider and signal strength.*1
	Usage of menu guided message services with DTMF tones. Menu for entering numeric digits on the MaxiDot screen.

Infotainment
	Shows digital data of the car like speed, boost pressure2, fuel quantity, oil temperature, battery voltage, water temperature.3
	Read SMS and reply with pre-defined texts (if supported by the cellphone).
	A2DP audiostream via Bluetooth, for playing music stored on the cellphone and internet radio through the vehicle sound system.*1
	AVRCP controls the phone MP3 player with the buttons of the vehicle.*1
	Brilliant A2DP music quality in Stereo.

Hardware, Installation, Maintenance
	Real Plug&Play. No coding of the vehicle required until modelyear 2009 with red MaxiDot screen. Cars from 2010 require coding.
	Plug&Play Adapter included.
	Uncomplicated installation. No cutting of wires necessary.
	Residue-free removable.
	Option for software updates.
	Updates for phone compatibility can be installed via bluetooth with a Windows Notebook or Android Device.
	Standby power consumption is under 0,1mA (<0,0012W) Watt at 12V.
	ODB2 diagnostic with e.g. VCDS or VAS possible. It shows informations like software levels and product version. If required a factory reset can be done.
	The installation does not cause any records in the error-log of the car.

Car Compatibility

The integration into the navigation system is independent from the vehicle and is also feasible in vehicles where the navigation system was not integrated from factory. The display in the MaxiDot-screen and the operation with the buttons on the multifunction steering wheel or wiper lever are at present working in the following cars:

The usage of the MaxiDot-screen requires a format like shown on the pictures below.

Is my MaxiDot-Display supported?

On Amundsen radios the described functionality is working only with a radio firmware level of at least SW0351. This level was installed into new cars from mid of 2010. Updates are not available.

We recommend the optional microphone for invisible installation into the dome light (36338-2). Please choose in our shop which microphone has to be in the package.

Partial Supported Vehicles:
	Other vehicles with Amundsen / Amundsen Plus

Owners of a partial supported vehicle with Amundsen / Amundsen Plus infotainment system can use the complete range of functions on the touchscreen. However, the MaxiDot-screen and the steering wheel buttons may not support phone functionality.
